When I was little, I knew fairies to be real. I’d write them letters and leave them tucked at the bases of old oak trees. Sometimes, I would be surprised to find that they would write back, in fine-lettered script, on fragile leaves.
Now as an adult, I started leaving notes to the fairies again- this time, typewritten, and left in little mailboxes. And to my surprise… they still sometimes write back!

Have you found one of my notes? What would you like a haiku about? Let me know!

Everytime I pass a free library, I grab one of your haiku’s. They bring me such joy. They feel like a fortune for the day. Thank you for writing them.
